It’s average, affordable and a fixture of Las Vegas betting for more than half a century. Despite all the ownership turnover, renovations, name changes, and a devastating fire, the resort still holds an incredible location in the heart of the Strip.
The resort, which opened in 1973 as the original MGM Grand, is physically connected to another Caesars-owned property in the Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino.
The Bally’s sportsbook is in the worst location possible. It’s as if the planning for this venue was an afterthought.
It’s not near a poker room. Not even close to the main casino floor. And definitely not near the guest elevators.
If you come in the Strip entrance of Bally’s, just keep walking and walking and walking. Stop before you reach the back parking lot and there you will notice a modest entrance to the Bally’s Las Vegas sportsbook. Yes, it’s that far out of the way.
